Car Clutch Parts

In any car the clutch pedal is an essential part for gear change and it is used to disengage the transmission and the engine from the wheels, which means that your car is temporarily freewheeling while the clutch pedal is pressed down. Like all parts, your clutch is susceptible to wear and tear and over time you will find parts which will need replacing. Jay Mataji Motors are one of the top dealers in clutch parts such as clutch plates, assemblies, clutch kits, plates, etc. for all the brands such as Honda, Chevrolet, Mitsubishi, Toyota, Volkswagen, Volvo, Nissan, Renault, Fiat, Ford, Hyundai, Maruti Suzuki, Tata, BMW, Mercedes, Mahindra, Skoda, Volvo, Datsun, Audi etc.

Sometimes the clutch will start to wear, reducing the amount of power supplied and making gear changes difficult, but a high quality clutch kit can not only repair the problem but even improve the performance. A clutch kit or clutch plate assembly kit is made up of the clutch itself along with a pressure plate, bearings and an alignment tool which are suited to all kinds of cars from small cars to high performance or sports cars looking to extract every possible bit of performance out of the engine. The Jay Mataji Motors Multi-plate Clutch Kit with Flywheel provides a radical increase in horsepower holding capacity. Our new clutch kit provides the ideal balance of sport driving and daily driving clutch use. The clutch cable connects the clutch pedal to the levers, which operate the clutch. These levers are responsible for engaging or disengaging the clutch and enable the driver to change gear. If any strain or other damage to the cable is discovered then you should immediately seek a replacement cable.

A transmission clutch incorporates a number of important clutch parts including a flywheel, clutch pressure plates and a clutch disc along with a number of other minor parts. The most vulnerable clutch parts are the flywheel, which can become damaged and worn over time, cracks and oil contamination, and clutch cables which can stretch. If you are experiencing problems with your transmission then it's time to take a look at your clutch and replace damaged or worn components. Jay Mataji Motors deals in clutch plate sets which are made of high carbon steel, and the core plates are made from aluminum, steel, high temperature resistant plastics or resin based fiber and clutch bearing depending on the design of the clutch. The material in wet type clutch is made in three types such as rubber based, cork based or paper based and for dry clutch, resin and fiber based material is used. This friction material is lined on the core plates to generate the torque in the engine. The Clutch assembly includes centrifugal weights that move radially responsive to rotation of the clutch assembly. These weights move pressure plates between clamped and open positions in response to a desired rotational speed. The clutch master cylinder is a vital part of the clutch system and can be overlooked when trying to diagnose a clutch issue. This cylinder converts non hydraulic pressure into hydraulic pressure and therefore controls the slave cylinder at the other end of the hydraulic system. The cylinder can be linked to an external or internal slave cylinders.

A clutch assembly consists of Plate, Rivets, Center Bush, Springs, Clutch Shoe, Damper and Circlips. Springs are used to hold the clutch shoe together on assembly and also for return of shoe after disengagement. The car bearing is an integral part of the clutch system, its purpose is to support the input shaft of the gearbox. It is vital to check the bearings for wear when replacing a clutch assembly. A worn bearing can result in gearbox misalignment which can lead to clutch failure. The Clutch Assist uses two types of cams an assist cam and a slipper cam to either drive the clutch hub and plate which is operating together or apart. The assist cam functions, by pulling the clutch hub and operating plate together to compress the clutch plates. This reduces the load on the clutch spring resulting in a lighter clutch lever feel when operating the clutch. When excessive engine braking occurs as a result of an accidental downshift the slipper cam comes into play, forcing the clutch hub and operating plate apart. It relieves pressure on the clutch plates to reduce back-torque and helps prevent the rear tyre from hopping and skidding.
